Your computers
are only half the equipment that make your business go. You also
have peripherals and an all-important internet connection. Without them, you can be stopped dead
in your tracks.
When something
breaks and you try to handle it yourself, you're forced to navigate
that peripheral vendor's complex automated technical support "call
tree", wait on hold forever, and then finally deal with an end-user
technical support representative who is clueless about your specific
problem, asks questions that you may not have ready answers to,
and either offers no help at all, tries to chase you away, or ends
up referring you to a second-tier or "escalated" technical support
representative, and the process repeats itself. Or maybe, they just
hang up. Oops!
